Along with the rest of the EU, the UK will open it’s borders to people from new relatively new EU member states Bulgaria and Romania next January, when temporary limits on Bulgarians and Romanians’ right to work and claim benefits end. Perhaps predictably the British tabloid press is sounding alarm bells, but even the British government seems to be in two minds about what to do with the potential influx of Eastern Europeans.
