The self-confessed terrorist who killed 77 people in the 22 July Oslo bombing and on Utøya was declared insane by court-appointed psychiatrists the last week in November. He will still stand trial, but if the psychiatric conclusion is upheld, he will be sentenced to psychiatric treatment and not prison. It’s a situation which can be hard to come to terms with for many victims and others in Norway. Here’s my commentary for Inside Europe on Deutsche Welle Radio:
