So called home grown Islamist terrorism has become a worry in many Western societies in the wake of the 2005 London bombings and thwarted terrorist actions planned in European countries. In the UK several known Islamic extremists have links to Luton north of London. But people living there feel their town has unfairly been branded the UK’s hotbed of extremism.
