How sound pollution is killing Norway’s whales

Now, what do you associate with whale song? Serene, peaceful, open oceans perhaps? Well, according to Ocean Sounds, a Norwegian-based marine mammal organisation, today’s reality is quite different. Sound pollution from boats and oil exploration is threatening whales and dolphins’ very existence. I spoke to their director and founder, Dr Heike Vester, for Inside Europe on Deutsche Welle Radio.
