The lasting legacy of Norway’s worst ever industrial disaster

When a North Sea platform capsized, killing 123 oil workers in 1980, poor welding was blamed for what became Norway’s worst-ever industrial disaster. But many of those affected have long questioned the official story. This autumn, families and survivors meet in Oslo to support each other and to push for further state compensation for their losses.
