In 2019, fishermen in the Arctic North of Norway came across a very friendly beluga whale, wearing a harness and camera that prompted speculations he was a Russian spy. Last weekend Hvaldimir – as he was quickly named – was found dead in the South-West of Norway. I spoke to Today with Claire Byrne on RTE about Hvaldimir’s life and death.
