The Arctic is home to four million people across eight nations. But the region’s sparse population belies its importance to the rest of the world. This week, top politicians, scientists and many others met in Tromsø in the Arctic north of Norway for the Arctic Frontiers conference. On the agenda, new geopolitical tensions, vast untapped natural resources, accelerating climate change and the rights of indigenous peoples. Here is my report from Tromsø for Inside Europe on Deutsche Welle.
