The Trafalgar Christmas tree in London has just been officially lit. It is an annual gift from the city of Oslo as a thank-you for Britain’s support for Norway during World War Two. But in recent years, some Londoners have complained the tree is too scrawny and droopy. So I went to check out this year’s offering on the day it was cut down in the Oslo forest, and to ask a few questions about the quality of the spruce.
