Norway’s deep sea mining plans sparks outrage

The Norwegian government last week announced it wants to open up Norway’s continental shelf for deep sea mining. Minerals found there are needed for the green transition, it argues. But environmentalists and others are appalled by the idea of the commercial exploration of one of the planet’s last great unknown wildernesses. This is my report for Inside Europe on Deutsche Welle:
