Norway is racing to secure enough votes from countries around the world to get a temporary seat on the UN Security Council. Prime Minister Erna Solberg just attended a meeting of the African Union, to curry favour from a continent where Norway, in theory, could secure 54 of the 129 votes needed to beat tough competitor Canada to secure the coveted position. I spoke to The Minute on Monocle 24 about why this is so important to the small Scandinavian nation.
