A delegation from the China Association for Promoting International Economic & Technical Cooperation has visited Oslo to discuss the possibility of investing in a high-speed railway linking the Norwegian capital with Stockholm in neighbouring Sweden. Relations between Beijing and Oslo have thawed recently, after years of a diplomatic deep-freeze in the wake of the controversial 2010 Nobel Peace Prize to a Chinese dissident.
